Built by engineers, for the curious
Visaria is made by FastStep Labs, a small team on a mission to make real physics simulation accessible to anyone with a PC, curiosity and a passion for discovery.
With over 30 years in professional engineering consultancy, developing and using advanced simulation tools to deploy new technologies, we built Visaria to help anyone begin their journey into the powerful and fascinating world of understanding and simulating flows and forces.
Proudly designed and developed in the UK
Our story
Professional CFD and FEA tools are powerful, but they're built for people who already know how to use them. They typically come with expensive licences, steep learning curves, and workflows designed for production, not exploration. We noticed that students, hobbyists and early-career engineers who wanted to build real physical intuition and learn about simulation methods had nowhere approachable to start.
So we set out to build the tool we wished we'd had: a GPU-accelerated simulation workspace that solves in real time, explains itself as you go, engaging to use, and costs a fraction of what the industry-standard suites charge. Visaria is the result and is still growing, one solver module at a time.
What we believe
Three ideas guide everything we build.
Accessibility first
If you need a manual before you can see your first result, we've failed. Every solver should be usable within minutes of opening it.
Real physics, not gaming
Under the hood, Visaria runs genuine numerical solvers. The same physics that drives professional CFD and FEA, simplified in presentation, not in substance.
Learning by doing
Nobody built real intuition by reading about fluid dynamics or stress analysis. Every lesson in Visaria is a live simulation you can pull apart yourself or build a scenario you've seen around you.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is Visaria?
Visaria is a single, GPU-accelerated simulation workspace with an interactive learning hub that lets you go from geometry to live physics, visualising the results in real-time 3D with zero post-processing. It currently solves aerodynamics, coupled aero and gas mixing, coupled aero and thermal (conduction, convection and radiation), and liquids with wave dynamics. Structural FEA joining soon. It bridges the gap as an accessible learning tool to complex, expensive professional CFD and FEA suites; for students, engineers, scientists, designers, educators and the simply curious. Visaria is developed by FastStep Labs and is currently in public beta.
Is Visaria suitable for beginners?
Yes absolutely; learning and ease of use is the core of the Visaria approach. Visaria pairs its optimised solvers with an interactive Learning Hub: step-by-step guides with quick-click links to demos and scenario settings, extensive tooltips, a searchable glossary and parameter reference, and hints throughout. You can build or import geometry and watch real physics start computing within minutes, without needing to configure a mesh or understand solver theory first. It is explicitly intended as a stepping stone towards mastering industry-standard tools later.
What file formats can I import?
You can import STL files, or build your geometry directly inside the app using our Mesh Builder tool primatives, boolean operations and ready build geometry and demos. Visaria then voxelizes your geometry automatically to prepare the simulation domain.
Can I use Visaria for professional work?
Visaria uses a coarse voxel-based grid with solvers optimised for real-time operation. It is built for understanding, exploration and rapid concept iteration, not for engineering accuracy or certification-grade analysis. Engineers and designers use it to test ideas quickly, build physical intuition and learn simulation techniques; it teaches you the journey so you can confidently adopt and drive accurate industry-standard CFD and FEA tools later.
How do I get support?
There are extensive demo examples, searchable FAQs, tool tips, glossary and parameter guidance and technical information to get you productive in no time. It is also highly intuitive to use. If you are still stuck, please work through our tuition packs for the solvers you are working with. After that, for technical questions, feature requests, or troubleshooting, post on our Public Community Forum which will be live soon. For licencing quesions, reach us via licensing@visaria.dev where we aim to get back to you within 48hrs.
How accurate are the results?
Visaria takes a coarse voxelised grid approach and so is not designed to produce engineering grade outputs. It rapidly generates intuitive imagery and video that help you understand flows, stresses and simulation approaches and parameters, and to learn how this kind of simulation works. It is a powerful learning stepping stone to complex, engineering-grade software that can cost up to 1000x as much.
Can I export results, images or video for reports and presentations?
Absolutely. A variety of export tools for images and video are included to record your work and share with others.
Can I get a site or lab licence for a classroom or department?
Yes. Please contact us for classroom, lab and department site licensing and branding plus bespoke tutorial generation opportunities at education@visaria.dev.
